Lisa is a Member at Large for Theatre and Social Change. She is the co-author of Katrina: the K Word, a play based on interviews with residents of New Orleans. Lisa holds a Ph.D. in Theatre from Columbia University. At Drew, where she recently won the Distinguished Teaching Award, she teaches Theatre History, Dramaturgy, African-American Theatre, and a Community-Based Theatre course with Newark high school students. She is currently working on TOO BIG: a theatrical investigation of the economy and the state of the American Dream. This is a multi-site project with collaborators from Wayne State, Grinnell, University of San Diegeo, and UNC Wilmington.
